The Gateway Motel is dedicated to continually develop new ideas and strategies that will help to preserve our natural environment. As a business we have taken the incentive to incorporate
eco-friendly practices throughout the motel whenever possible and are continuously striving for more eco-friendly options.
Our steps to becoming Eco-Friendly

Hanging bed linens outside to dry naturally.

Using environmentally friendly cleaners.

Installing shower savers, toilet tank savers and low voltage lightbulbs.

Timed water usage in flower beds; early morning or late at night.

Using organic fertilizers and native plant species in landscaping.

Renovating building to become more energy efficient.

Recycling, Reducing, Reusing, and Repairing throughout the motel.
Help us by doing your part

Please us green recycling bins whenever possible; ensure items are rinsed, crushed and place in bin. (Note: You can recycle paper, magazines, cardboard, boxboard, tin, cans, bottles, mixed plastics.)

Please conserve energy by turning off heat, lights and television when leaving your room or checking out.

Please place only the towels that need to be washed/replaced in the bathtub and try to reuse towels whenever possible!
